Our most recent releases and what they mean to you

2025: Autonomy & Versatility
Two breakthrough releases defined the year. Cortex 4.0/Commander 2.1 transformed autonomous operations with exploration mode (volume-based "set-and-forget" mapping), onboard processing for immediate field feedback, and tighter navigation enabling previously inaccessible spaces.
Aura 2.0 streamlined team workflows with concurrent user licensing, custom GCP flexibility using natural features, and independent check points for validation. Additional refinements included vehicle/backpack RTK merge, geolocated panoramic images, NDAA compliance for defense markets, and comprehensive measurement tool upgrades.
The year demonstrated maturation from capability building to workflow optimization.

2024: Accuracy & Visualization
- Explosive growth in RTK ecosystem support—from aerial (DJI M350) to vehicle-mounted and backpack systems. Introduced visual integration with 360° colorization (GoPro MAX) and automated photography export.
- Added change detection and convergence monitoring for structural analysis.
- Expanded hardware compatibility (Trimble, multiple DJI platforms) and improved user experience with multi-language support, map widgets, and telemetry overlays.
- Delivered multiple Aura releases (1.4 through 1.8).

2023: SLAM + RTK
- Established RTK integration with DJI M300 drone support (Aura 1.3) and expanded autonomy features in Cortex 3.1 to 3.3, including enhanced pose estimation and advanced navigation.
- Set the stage for expansion in georeferencing and more sophisticated autonomous capabilities.
