Pyramids of Egypt

The Bent Pyramid

The Bent Pyramid — one of Egypt’s oldest and most mysterious structures — was scanned using Emesent Hovermap in just 23 minutes. A unique example of early pyramid development in Egypt, this ancient pyramid (originally called Sneferu is Shining in the South) was the second of four pyramids built by Sneferu. It is recognized by its visibly bent appearance.

This incredible scan was rendered in Emesent’s processing and visualization software, Aura.

The Red Pyramid

What do you get when you bring cutting-edge tech into a 4,600-year-old pyramid? A whole new perspective — in 3D. The Red Pyramid, the oldest true smooth-sided pyramid and the third largest in Egypt, was built by Pharaoh Sneferu around 2600 BCE. It stands 105 meters tall and represents some of the most impressive ancient architecture ever constructed.

This handheld scan took just 17 minutes to capture, and was processed and rendered in Emesent Aura.
